Gorges Boriano & Kydoni Day Trip
Thees two gorges are located in a semi-mountainous village called Karanou. Vegetation is flourishing in both gorges so it gives the impression that you are in a forest, something that is rare in Crete. Among other plants we can observe plane trees, cyclamens and arbutus trees. Also inside the gorges there are caves and entrances of old quarries. After we traverse the first gorge we will hike along a stream called Mavropiliotis and then we will enter the second gorge which will lead us to the village.
